Dies und das / a little bit of this, a little bit of that

Am Donnerstag hat mein Mann unser neues Auto gekauft. Es handelt sich um einen Ford Windstar mit automatischen Schiebetueren im hinteren Bereich. Er nahm die Ruecksitze (4 an der Zahl) raus und hat nun viel mehr Platz fuer all die Hunde. Am Freitag brachten wir unseren alten Wagen zu einem anderen Haendler, der uns den Chrysler Pacifica abgekauft hat. Am Samstag fuhr Herbert unsere Freunde aus Riverside zum Flughafen, die nun fuer 16 Tage nach Deutschland geflogen sind. Spaeter am Tag bekamen wir Besuch. Romy und ihre Schwester Isa kamen uns besuchen. Wir lernten Romy einen Tag vor unserem Umzug in die USA kennen. Sie ist die Freundin der Ehefrau von Herberts Kumpel Martin. Romy und ihr Mann leben bereits seit 24 Jahren in den USA und sie war zu dem Zeitpunkt gerade in Deutschland, um ihre Mutter zu besuchen. Wir haben nun ueber 2 Jahre gebraucht, uns wiederzusehen und das, obwohl wir nicht wirklich weit auseinander wohnen. Aber egal - besser spaet, wie nie!
Heute fuhr unsere Freundin Mindy mit uns zu dem Messegelaende in Costa Mesa, wo jedes Wochenende ein riesiger Flohmarkt (von Moebeln ueber Kleider bis hin zu Wohnmobilen und Kuechenartikeln - nur neue Dinge) stattfindet. Wir fanden auch tatsaechlich einige Dinge - ein Kleid fuer mich, die Aufkleber fuers Auto (nach unseren Wuenschen angefertigt), einen Nummernschildhalter mit Hundepfoten (nun warten wir nur noch auf das Special-Nummernschild, das wir bestellt haben) und ausserdem ein tolles Geschenk fuer ein Familienmitglied in Deutschland ('tschuldigung, aber ich kann hier keine Details preisgeben - aber glaubt mir, es ist zum bruellen komisch ;) Das war definitiv nicht das letzte Mal, dass wir diesen Flohmarkt besucht haben!
On Thursday my hubby bought our new car. It's a Ford Windstar with automatic sliding doors in the back. He took out all the backseats (4 of them) and has now much more space for all the doggies. On Friday we brought our old car to a different dealer, who bought the Chrysler Pacifica. On Saturday Herbert drove our friends from Riverside to the airport so that they could catch their flight to Germany. Later that day we got company. Romy and her sister Isa came to visit us. One day before we moved to the United States we met Romy in Germany. She is a friend of the wife from Herberts buddy Martin and was at that time on vacation to see her mom. Romy and her husband live already 24 years in the US. It took us over two years to meet again and that although we don't live that far away from each other. However - better late than never!
Today our friend Mindy took us to the Costa Mesa fair grounds where every weekend is a big swap meet. We found quite a few things - a dress for me, the stickers (custom-made) for the car, also a license plate holder with paws (now we're waiting for the license plate we've ordered) and also a great gift for a family member in Germany (sorry I can't give you any details - but believe me...it's fre...ing funny ;) That was definitely not the last time we went to the swap meet!

Shiloh ist ein bisschen launisch zur Zeit. Aber Bella kann nicht akzeptieren, dass ihre beste Freundin nicht mit ihr rumrangeln will, wie sonst immer.
Shiloh is a little bit moody since a few days. Bella is not willing to accept that her best buddy Shy is not wrestling with her as always.
