We are leaving on Thursday for our Germany vacation. Now this happening gets a little bit embittered. As I mentioned in an earlier post, Shiloh is, since a few weeks, a little moody and then she also started to lose weight again. Herbert took her to the vet and a blood test showed that Shy was dehydrated. Because of a few more evidences the vet wants to make a hysterectomy. We tried to push the surgery 'till we are back. But after watching Shy the last weekend, we decided that she has to have the surgery tomorrow. Our friend Mindy, where Shy stays in our absence, also said she rather watch Shilohs recovering than has to watch out for every little abnormality and have maybe to make a decision without us. Please cross your fingers, that Shiloh-Girl will get better soon and everything will go well.
P.S. Wir leben seit dem 27. Mai 2007 in South California (SoCal)

Heiss und Kalt / hot and cold
Noe!
Since days, or are these already weeks, it's pretty warm in Southern California. It's not that I'll complain. I still love it but there are certain things we are not going to do right now, because of the weather condition - as an example, we were planning to stay at Disneyland this afternoon. It's way to hot for this. It's the best to stay in airconditioned places, close or in the water. But because you can not stop doing the necessary stuff you need to do, I had to iron this morning and after that, I helped my husband in the garden. Gosh, the sweat was just running down my head... And then my friend told me on the phone today that I should put other stuff than Flip Flops, T-Shirts and shorts in my suitcase, for our visit in Germany. She has turned on the heater already. No way!

Around Los Angeles there are fires burning and the fire fighters have a lot to do. We can see the smoke. It looks like a cloud after an atomic bomb explosion - pretty scary. For me it seems that the fire season starts every year a little earlier.
Other than that we are still pretty busy with our dog guests and to get everything together for our trip to Germany. I'm starting to get very excited.
Wie findet Ihr eigentlich mein neuestes Paar FlipFlops?
Actually, how do you like my newest pair of FlipFlops?

A little wisdom / eine kleine Weisheit
Live is too short to wake up with regrets.
Love the people who treat you right.
Forget about the ones who don't.
Believe everything happens for a reason.
If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands.
If it changes your life, let it.
Nobody said life would be easy.
They just promised it would be worth it.

jealous about food - what's that?
Abendbrot fuer Shy und Spike! Dinner for Shy and Spike!
Spike: Deins sieht aber besser aus! Yours look better!
Ok, than I'll try yours as well!
Shy and Spike are unsure if they do the right thing!
At the end they changed their dinner back and forth!
Bella's erster Tauchversuch / Bellas first dive
Hier entdeckt Bella das erste Mal unseren neuen Swimmerpool! Sieht so aus, als ob sie es mag ;)
This is the time Bella realized our new pool! It's seems that she likes it ;)

Dies und das / a little bit of this, a little bit of that
On Thursday my hubby bought our new car. It's a Ford Windstar with automatic sliding doors in the back. He took out all the backseats (4 of them) and has now much more space for all the doggies. On Friday we brought our old car to a different dealer, who bought the Chrysler Pacifica. On Saturday Herbert drove our friends from Riverside to the airport so that they could catch their flight to Germany. Later that day we got company. Romy and her sister Isa came to visit us. One day before we moved to the United States we met Romy in Germany. She is a friend of the wife from Herberts buddy Martin and was at that time on vacation to see her mom. Romy and her husband live already 24 years in the US. It took us over two years to meet again and that although we don't live that far away from each other. However - better late than never!
Today our friend Mindy took us to the Costa Mesa fair grounds where every weekend is a big swap meet. We found quite a few things - a dress for me, the stickers (custom-made) for the car, also a license plate holder with paws (now we're waiting for the license plate we've ordered) and also a great gift for a family member in Germany (sorry I can't give you any details - but believe me...it's fre...ing funny ;) That was definitely not the last time we went to the swap meet!

Shiloh is a little bit moody since a few days. Bella is not willing to accept that her best buddy Shy is not wrestling with her as always.

DM im Honda Center in Anaheim / DM at the Honda Center in Anaheim
Ja!!!
Is this possible? Can I be a bigger fan today than yesterday? Yes!!! The show yesterday was awesome again and because they recorded it, I ordered the live cd, which I will get in a few weeks. Maybe the sound wasn't that good as in the open air arena in Hollywood but the audience was incredible.
When we got our confirmation e-mail for the Hollywood Bowl I realized that it was not allowed to take a camera. So I didn't, right?! But the other 17,299 people (the Bowl was sold out) brought their cameras. Yesterday I didn't even think about leaving the camera at home. But because I wouldn't take the really good one, I took "only" an old one. The pictures are still good and I also took a few videos which I will try to post here also!
