Ist da draussen irgendwo jemand, der kurze, lockige Haare schneiden kann und in der Naehe von Irvine wohnt?
On Sunday I decided it's time for a new haircut and this time I wanted to try a different salon, again. I didn't need an appointment because a sign outside the salon said "walk-in's welcome". So I went in and I got a nice lady to whom I explained every important little detail. But honestly, how difficult can it be to cut short hair a little bit shorter? Anyway, when she started to wash my hair I got a huge splash of water right into my face. An accident, it wasn't on purpose so I took her appologies with a smile. After the washing she brushed every single hair to the position she needed it. Sometimes my head was weaving back and forth but I didn't know why. Half an hour later she took finally the scissors into her hand and all of a sudden I realized that she was shaking .... I asked her if she was ok and she answered: "Yes I'm fine. I'm on a treatment and the medicine is doing this do me. But it's since 4 months and I'm getting used to it" Aaaarrrg! I was sitting in my chair thinking about a way I could tell her that I don't want a cut anymore without hurting her feelings. She was really nice and I was so tensed up the whole time. I started seeing things I didn't like on the cut but when I pointed it out she said she will fix it later. I have to tell you that I couldn't find a nice way to tell her to stop (I didn't want to be rude or mean) I saw myself already walking out of the salon halfside bald. Finially the diffuser felt right on my head. What a day.....
The result wasn't that bad - actually today I got a lot of compliments on my new haircut. But shouldn't be the visit in a hairsalon be a relaxing thing? When I left I had a bad headache and 'till now my neck is tensed up. I'm wondering now if I should go back in 4 to 6 weeks or would it be better to look for a different hairstylist again?
Is there anybody out there, living close to Irvine and knows how to cut curly short hair?
