Abendessen in Hollywood / dinner in Hollywood

Die letzten Jahre, bevor wir in die USA gezogen sind, habe ich in Deutschland fuer eine Firma als Privat/Chefsekretaerin gearbeitet. Fuer mich war es wirklich ein Traumjob, auch wenn er manchmal sehr stressig war. Deshalb war ich natuerlich auch supertraurig als ich kuendigte, um meinen Traum zu leben. Rolf, der Besitzer der Firma und gleichzeitig mein Chef, war auch traurig und er bot mir an, innerhalb eines Jahres jederzeit zurueckkommen zu koennen. Letzten Montag bekam ich nun den Anruf von meiner Freundin und Ex-Kollegin Anja, dass Rolf am Donnerstag nach Kalifornien kommt und sich gern mit mir und Herbert treffen wuerde. Ich hab mich wirklich gefreut als wir gestern abend dann nach Hollywood fuhren. Wir sind mit Rolf und Suenje zum essen ins "Beso" gefahren (das Restaurant gehoert Eva Longoria Parker - sie spielt Gabrielle Solis in "Desperate Housewives"). Wir hatten einen tollen Abend in einem super Restrauant mit erstklassigem Essen! Ich hoffe, Rolf und Suenje haben noch einen tollen Urlaub, das naechste Mal werden wir uns dann vermutlich in Deutschland sehen!
The last fifteen years, before we moved to the US, I was working for one company in Germany as the executive assistant for the owner of the company. For me it was a dream position, even though it was a really stressful job. It was super sad when I had to quit to start living my dream. Rolf, the owner and my boss, was sad too and he offered me to keep the same position open for at least one year, so I would have the possibility to come back! Last Monday I got a phonecall from my friend and ex-coworker Anja. Shetold me that Rolf is coming to California on Thursday and he would love to meet with Herbert and me. Yesterday I was really excited to drive to Hollywood for our get-together. We went with Rolf and Suenje for dinner at the "Beso" (this restaurant belongs to Eva Longoria Parker - character of Gabrielle Solis in "Desperate Housewives"). We had a great evening in an awesome environment with delicious food. I hope Rolf and Suenje will have a great vacation. We'll see each other probably the next time in Germany!
